CMAS *
A "CMAS* One Star" refers to the entry-level scuba diving certification issued by the Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques (CMAS), essentially meaning a beginner diver qualified to perform accompanied, no-decompression dives to a maximum depth of 20 meters in open water; it's considered the equivalent of a PADI or SDI Open Water Diver certification. The Academy CMAS* program is more intense than other Open Water programs. Though there is an e-learning component, most academics will be done during weekly in-person classes. Pool sessions are also longer, with more sessions and open water dives. The entire course will take approximately 40 hours and when you have completed it, you will have the skill and confidence to plan and execute a dive leading a buddy.
