Connecticut Scuba Academy participates in real-world research, offering our students and partners the opportunity to dive with a purpose. The Academy strongly believes the best way to protect our underwater environment is not only through producing quality divers but also through outreach and education.
The Academy is one of the few organizations able to certify professional research divers. As an American Academy of Underwater Sciences organizational member, our students will earn an internationally recognized professional certification for research diving.

ACADEMY STEM PROGRAMS
The Academy STEM program provides unique hands-on experiences for secondary school students, making learning about physics, physiology, and oceanography both challenging and enjoyable. These programs can be customized to suit the needs of your educational institution, whether as a science elective or an after-school dive club. The Academy has everything necessary to create a distinctive educational experience for students.

Join us for local dive outings to explore all that New England has to offer, and enjoy pool time to keep your skills sharp. You'll also have the chance to participate in local research and outreach on important issues. Additionally, consider joining us on our annual Bonaire Expedition, where we collaborate on a reef renewal program with Sound School and Divi Dive. There’s truly something for everyone!
